phenolic light sockets are made of phenolic resin.  This plastic material is known for its resistance to heat, strength, and non-conductive characteristics.  In the early days of lamp holder, a material called Bakelite was used to manufacture these sockets.  In fact, Bakelite was the name of those light sockets.



This E27 Plain Black Lamp holder comes complete with an internal earth connect if needed. It has a plain skirt so not used with shade rings. The base fixing in 10mm and has a locking screw on this fixing to stop it twisting when the lamp is removed. The ES Plain phenolic light sockets is also known as a European Lampholder.


These vintage phenolic light sockets are made in an authentic bakelite material and fit the small screw bulbs, perfect for small shades or for using small golf ball or tube lamps.

The light bulb socket is supplied complete with two shade rings and a cord grip. If you'd prefer to use a hook select this from the drop down menu above on the right before adding to basket.
